At Wellingborough RFC, we’re proud to be a community rugby club where everyone is welcome, regardless of ability or experience.
Our Under 13s squad is a fantastic group of lads who are friendly, supportive, and always keen to welcome new players into the team. Whether your child is completely new to the game or has played before, they’ll quickly feel part of the team.
We’ve also got a brilliant group of parents who help create a positive and inclusive atmosphere both on and off the pitch.
Come down, get involved, and be part of something special at Wellingborough U13s!

Player Membership
New players can just turn up and join in the first month of sessions for free.
Players are also asked to wear club short and socks which can be purchased through our online club shop or through our shop in the clubhouse which is open on a Sunday pre and post training/matches.
Equipment
Mouth guards - The RFU strongly recommends that mouth guards (also referred to as gum shields) are worn for any contact rugby activity (both training and matches). The use of mouthguards can help to protect the teeth and face.
Body Armour - Wearing a body armour should be the personal choice of the player and/or parent. Shoulder pads (also referred to as body armour) can help to reduce the impact of a tackle, by absorbing and dispersing the force. They do not increase the power of the tackler in any way. Headguards (sometimes referred to as scrum caps) can help to protect the head from cuts and abrasions, and protect the ears.
Parents & Guardians
Remain responsible for their children at training/matches and need to stay, especially if their children are Under 13 years of age.
We empathise with those who have to spread themselves between pitches but please do ask another parent for help if you need to run into clubhouse or across to another pitch, so we know where you are etc.
