UPDATE 12.8.2026 [/b]- Following the latest weather forecast and continuing drought conditions, as assessment of the available playing surfaces means the club has had to take the difficult decision to postpone the fixtures at S&L on 14 August, Saxby Cup on 15 August and Spalding on 22 August.
This is consistent with the RFU's RugbySafe approach and whilst a huge disappointment to our members/supporters and of course players and coaches, is the correct and responsible decision to take. Thank you for your understanding and continuing support

This week sees the start of our preseason fixtures, with both our XV's getting their campaigns underway.
Our 1st XV travel north to S&L for a Friday night game.
Our 2nd XV travel south to Rushden on Saturday afternoon.

As it stands today, both fixtures are going ahead.
With the heat and 'drought' conditions in the East Midlands and wider in England, both S&L and Rushden & Higham are doing everything they can to prepare their pitches and make sure all teams can get some rugby under their belts.
